Problem statement
Thousands of small hotels in India still run on paper registers, take bookings over phone calls, and have zero online presence. They lose 20-30% of potential guests to OTAs (MakeMyTrip, Booking.com) that charge 15-25% commission per booking.
RETROD solves this with an affordable, all-in-one hotel management system — PMS for operations, Booking Engine for direct bookings, and a Website Builder for online presence. But the hotel owners don't know this exists.
Your job: Pick a real hotel, find the gap, and build the pitch that gets RETROD in the door.
Deliverables
- Section 1 — Hotel research (10 min)
- Pick 1 real hotel. Include: hotel name, Google Maps link, number of rooms (estimate), current website (if any), whether they have online booking, and 2-3 lines on what's missing or broken in their digital presence.
- Section 2 — WhatsApp first message (10 min)
- Write the exact WhatsApp message you'd send to the hotel owner to get a 15-minute meeting. Must mention the hotel by name. Must be under 80 words. No generic templates.
- Section 3 — The sales pitch (30 min)
- Write what you'd say in the first 5 minutes of a meeting with the owner. Cover:
- → What problem RETROD solves for THIS specific hotel
- → Which 2 RETROD products you'd recommend and why
- → One simple number: how much commission they'd save on direct bookings per month (estimate it)
- Section 4 — Handle the "no" (10 min)
- The owner says: "I already get enough walk-in customers, I don't need software."
- Write your exact response (under 100 words).
