Overview

Companies want great talent, but resumes rarely show real capability. Identify organisations that could benefit from proof-of-work hiring, build an outreach strategy, and show how you would start conversations that lead to partnerships.

Problem statement

A growing career technology platform is helping companies discover talent through proof of work instead of relying only on resumes. The challenge is that most companies continue using traditional hiring channels, even when they struggle to evaluate candidate quality, reduce screening effort, or identify job-ready talent. Imagine you have joined the Corporate Partnerships team. Your objective is to identify companies that could benefit from hiring through work samples, hiring challenges, skill demonstrations, and portfolios. You must research opportunities, identify decision-makers, create outreach strategies, and demonstrate how you would start meaningful conversations that could lead to partnerships. This challenge is designed to assess your business development thinking, research ability, communication skills, and sales instincts. Deliverable 1 — Opportunity Hunt Identify 25 companies that could benefit from proof-of-work hiring. For each company include: Company Name, Industry, Current Hiring Activity (if available), Decision Maker, Why They Are a Good Fit, and Website/LinkedIn Page. Also rank all 25 companies by partnership potential and explain why your Top 3 should be approached first. Deliverable 2 — Outreach Challenge Choose one company and create: • Cold Email • LinkedIn Outreach Message • Follow-Up Message Objective: Secure a discovery conversation. Deliverable 3 — Business Development Thinking Answer: A. "We already use LinkedIn and Naukri. Why should we consider a different approach?" B. "We are not hiring right now." C. You have 100 potential companies but can actively target only 20 this week. How would you prioritise them? Deliverable 4 — Video Pitch Record a 2–3 minute video explaining how you would convince a hiring manager to explore proof-of-work hiring.
